An honourable loss…

On 21st April this year, having newly moved into my apartment, I set up a Chess board and invited my friend, Jon Pinhorn to play a game. 178 days (roughly 6 months) later, I am not ashamed to admit that I lost to him. It was the longest game of Chess I’ve ever played and he was a worthy opponent, who deserved the victory wholeheartedly.

I felt that I had to mark this occasion as it was the first attempt at email chess, possibly the most arcane way of multiplayer gaming in this day and age…
