After the relaxing trip to Halong Bay, we treated ourselves for a little lay in on Thurday. I went out while the others were asleep and walked the streets around the Hotel and saw the city slowly come to life. I had enjoyed my stay in Vietnam greatly, but visiting here just made me realise how much more this country had to offer. I wasn’t too sure when I could next visit, only that I would.
After we all packed, and had a late breakfast we sat talking to the Hotel clerk, Kenny. He was a very bubbly man with an infectious laugh and was hospitable enough to find us a reliable taxi back to the airport.
By the time we were boarding it was close to 4pm and when we arrived in KL it had gone past 8. Slowly heading back to my apartment, my head was filled with memories of the trip and of my latest Chessboard acquisition. This was turning into an expensive hobby.
